|1 1/2 cup||strawberries|
|1 1/2 tablespoon||balsamic vinegar (optional)|
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine basil sprigs, sugar, and water.
Stir frequently until it reaches a simmer. Continue to stir for one minute. Remove from heat. Let cool for few minutes.
In your Vitamix blender, mince basil leaves. Remove the sprigs from the syrup and mix in the minced basil. Refrigerate for at least two hours.
Add to your Vitamix strawberries and, optionally, the balsamic vinegar. Puree. Combine puree with chilled basil syrup. Add sparkling water. Stir thoroughly. Serve over ice.
Makes two large or several medium drinks.
