|4 or 5||large strawberries, hulled|
|2||small, peeled mandarin oranges, cuties, or clementines|
|1/2 cup||frozen berries|
|1/4 cup||orange juice|
Add orange juice.
Wash and hull the strawberries. Wash and peel the oranges. Add to the blender. Add the frozen berries. Blend to your desired consistency.
We prefer seedless oranges, but you can leave the seeds in or remove them as you desire. (It's a lot of work to remove them, but they give you dietary fiber and there's no harm in eating them.)
We like to use mixed frozen berries (strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries). Experiment! Strawberries alone give a really nice flavor which contrasts with the orange juice.
Makes one large smoothie.
